The Relation of Map and Share Mail Server Modes

POP3 Remote

Remote receiving mails(POP3 Remote) are supported by both of map and share mail server modes.

1) No matter under which modes, each account are enable to set POP3 Remote.

2) Each account are enable to modify POP3 settings after it has been given the permission as below.

Right click the account in the details pane on the main interface of AA Mail Server, "Edit/view account"->"Permission"->"Allow modify POP3"(Figure 1-1).

Mail Auditing

Mail auditing function works only under the share mail server mode.

Share Mail Server Mode

Share mail server mode can be used by two ways.

a. If you use AA Mail Server as your Internet mail server, the local mail accounts can be used by the share mail account of AA Mail Server to receive and send Internet mails.

b. If you use AA Mail Server as your LAN mail server, you need to configure the share mail account of AA Mail Server with a remote pop3 account, map to it and use such Internet mail account to receive and send Internet mails.
